Hi, my name is Anna. I’m an integrative counsellor working with individuals and couples in Stalybridge. I offer face to face counselling, telephone and online therapy.
Me
I am a qualified therapist with a Masters degree in Counselling. I work integratively, with individuals and couples, which means I use a range of approaches to find the best way for you to explore whatever thoughts and feelings you have in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space. I offer face to face, online and telephone therapy.
I work with a range of issues, some of which include bereavement, anxiety, depression, family issues and dynamics, low self-esteem, chronic illness, loneliness and relationship issues. I also work with life transitions such as retirement, job change, illness, leaving religion, faith transition, spirituality and anything relating to identity.
I like to provide a warm and empathic environment for you to work through whatever you need support with and I look forward to hearing from you.

The Process
Counselling can be intimidating, especially if you have never tried it before. You may not know what to expect or even if it is the right step for you. It’s hard to know where to start, who to choose and where to get your questions answered.
Counselling starts as a conversation between you and your therapist. You may be struggling to move forward in life, need support to process difficult emotions or feel anxious or depressed and are not quite sure how to tackle it.
Maybe you're feeling stuck or going through changes and want some space to figure out how to navigate it, struggling with family and relationships or trying to make sense of the past. You may just want a place to offload or explore yourself and your life to make more sense of it.
Whatever you're going through counselling may be able to help and support you.

The Space
I work in a ground floor space with a private entrance separate from the rest of the building. I’ve worked hard to make it warm and welcoming as soon as you step through the door. Most importantly, it’s a private space so you can be sure that you can speak openly in a confidential and safe space.
Online and telephone therapy means creating your own confidential space for therapy and I will give you the support to manage that before our first session.
